You lend on Skew from your balance, in the currency of the loan. Every loan page shows who the borrower is, the collateral, the APR, the term and the minimum participation.
Here's how to get started:
- Get a membership: your membership sets your Lending Limit, the most you can have out on loan at once: 1'000 CHF (Basic), 10'000 CHF (VIP), 100'000 CHF (Elite), 500'000 CHF (Prime) or 2'000'000 CHF (Legend).
- Add funds: a loan is funded from your balance in its own currency only. Deposit that currency, or convert another currency you hold.
- Choose a loan: open a lending opportunity and check the borrower, the collateral, the APR, the term and the minimum participation (for example 200 CHF).
- Lend and sign: enter your amount, confirm and sign the loan agreement within 3 days. If you have a Welcome Bonus, it is used first and counts towards the minimum.
Once the loan starts:
- Interest starts when the loan is disbursed and is paid into your balance automatically every 24 hours, with no fee.
- Your capital comes back to your balance automatically at maturity, once the borrower repays.
- On loans with a term of 6 months or more, you can make an Early Interest Claim: the interest still to come is paid to you now, less an Early Interest Claim Fee that starts at 20% and decreases to 0% at maturity.
If a loan does not reach its minimum target by the funding deadline, it does not start and your funds are released in full, with no fee.
Your capital is at risk. Lending is not a deposit and is not insured or guaranteed. Read the risk disclosure and the loan agreement before you lend.
